March holds a special occasion - Women’s History Month, with International Women’s day falling annually on March 8th. It is a great time to reflect on the contributions women have made, as well as gain inspiration from women who beat the odds and overcame barriers. It’s also a month to intentionally uplift other women and girls.

Women’s History Month

Did you know that back in the day women couldn’t vote, go to post-secondary school, keep their maiden name, or own property or a passport if they were married? Women did not have the same opportunities as men. Today, we have women entrepreneurs, athletes, politicians, and musicians and the list goes on. Women have done great things and have come a long way. Their drive and determination has taken them to new heights.

Women's' bodies can go through something miraculous, birth - creating and carrying life. New life is an exciting time for everyone.

Baby Showers are a celebration to welcoming a bundle of joy. Baby Showers can consist of themed decor, baby games, and gifts!  Also, recently gender reveal parties have become a popular festivity, where the gender of the child is shared in a creative way. Some popular reveals included coloured smoke, cake, and confetti falling from a popped balloon.

Preparing for a baby is a lot of work!  It takes a village to raise a child. Diaper changing, the sleepless nights, or the bottle feeding … to their first smile, word,  walk,  to their cubby cheeks and soft toes.  Our job is to love and spoil the child, and our first opportunity is at the baby shower.
