Mama’s Month

April Showers Bring May Flowers!

But the showers don’t end. This month we’re showering our amazing mothers with love. It is a time to express our appreciation for all that they do for their children. Whether it be a mom, grandma, god-mother, aunty, or mother figure, take the time to share your appreciation for them. A gift is a great way to express this!

Also, Mother’s Day can be a sensitive time for some. Sending lots of love to anyone who needs a little extra on this day!

What should you get for your mom or a mother figure for Mother’s Day?

Mother’s Day is a perfect time to get something sentimental. The day’s purpose is to honour mother’s and celebrate the sacrifices they make for their children. Anna Jarvis started this tradition in 1905 after the passing of her mother.

A gift straight from the heart is a custom item. And Take it Personal has many items to choose from!

Here are some ideas -

If you’re having trouble deciding on a gift. It’s best to think about who your mother is, what she likes, and what activities she participates in. Once you have these answers you can then pick or personalise an item that represents her.

What else are we celebrating in May?

Cinco de Mayo - May 5

It takes place annually on May 5, and commemorates the Mexican army's victory over France on May 5, 1862, at the Battle of Puebla.

Victoria Day (Canada) - May 22

Victoria Day is a federal statutory holiday, so most people have the day off. It takes place on the last Monday last Monday preceding May 25 to honour Queen Victoria.
