Cheers to 2023, new beginnings and new opportunities!

This month we celebrate a brand new year, and  with new year comes another birthday to celebrate living with your love ones.  So Cheer to you and Happy Birthday.

Birthday Customs

Birthdays are a celebration of another year of life! Balloons, cakes, cards, candles, streamers, parties, and gifts are all things you may experience when celebration. From a seven year old celebrating at a play place to a 45 year old wining and dining, each year of life is special. There’s specific milestones we tend to prepare elaborate celebrations for like the sweet sixteen, quinceaneras, or a 60th birthday!

Birthdays may consist of sweet messages from loved ones, cards with money hidden inside, your brother smothering your face in some birthday cake. A kind gesture to thank party guests or to persuade them not to post embarrassing birthday party photos are party favours! These tend to be small gifts like candy, trinkets or an item related to the party theme.

Birthday Gifts

Gift giving is a common tradition for birthdays across the world. We all have experienced asking someone what they want for their birthday and them responding with a shrug saying “I don’t know.” After hearing that question people forget what items are filled in their online shopping carts or they rather just buy what they want themselves, whatever the reason may be.

So, what do you get someone for their birthday when they don’t tell you what they want or you want to surprise them.

We suggest taking a minute to think about what this individual likes, what do they like to do, what reminds you of them or what makes them happy.

  • Do they like to cook? Maybe a custom apron or cutting board .
  • Do they like to travel? How about a custom travel passport holder, a travel tumbler ?
  • Have you noticed they’ve been stressed at work? A custom mouse pad or flower pot would be nice.

The next time you hear “I don’t know what I want for my birthday,” browse Take it Personal ‘s directories to find the perfect customized birthday gift .

Zodiac Signs

Your zodiac sign is determined by your birth date. Zodiac signs are one of the 12 specific constellations of the zodiac that the sun passes through. Some believe there is a connection between someone's zodiac sign and their personality.  These signs can predict characteristics, compatibility, and the future of an individual.

Wishing you a happy 2023, and a happy birthday whenever your special day falls on the calendar!

Fun Fact! Those born on February 29th will see their birth date on the calendar in 2024 (It’s a leap year).
